Name sign, door sign, decorative object, personalised gift. Whether a single line or complex form: FDM printing delivers surprisingly sharp results when the model is well designed.
FDM stands for Fused Deposition Modeling. A print head heats a plastic filament and deposits it layer by layer. The result is a solid, three-dimensional object directly from the digital file.
It is the most widely used 3D printing process: cost-effective, fast, versatile in materials and more than precise enough for most everyday applications.
The most common material. Easy to print, dimensionally stable, good detail sharpness. The first choice for indoor use, decorative pieces and most everyday parts.
Tougher than PLA, slightly flexible and more moisture-resistant. Well suited for mechanically stressed parts, clips or brackets.
Rubber-like flexibility and impact resistance. Perfect for shock absorbers, protective covers, seals or anything that needs to bend without breaking.
More heat-resistant than PLA and easy to sand. Classic material for enclosures and technical parts. Slightly more demanding to print.
UV-stable and temperature-resistant. For parts permanently used outdoors. Similar to ABS but more weatherproof.
The process is simpler than you think. You don't need any technical knowledge or a finished CAD model. A sketch on paper, a photo or a description is enough.
